Dow Jones Futures
Private investors trade the E-mini Dow Jones Future and the Micro E-mini Dow Jones Future. The difference between these two futures is the size of the contract. The Micro DJIA Future is ten times smaller than the E-mini DJIA Future. Dow futures are listed exclusively on the CBOT exchange. The CBOT is one of the four CME exchanges. The CME is the world's largest futures exchange and has been active since 1898.

Tip: The code for a futures contract consists of a symbol, a letter, and a number. The letter stands for the month and the number for the year. For example, YMZ2 is the E-mini Dow futures contract maturing in December 2022.
The E-mini Dow Jones future is the most frequently traded future. Although more micro future contracts are traded, this future is ten times smaller than the E-mini. Therefore, the traded nominal value in the E-mini Dow future is much larger.
